Can I drive myself home after treatment?
Most patients are able to drive themselves home after EVLA or foam sclerotherapy, as these are performed under local anaesthetic. We'll confirm what's appropriate for you individually before your treatment visit.
I'm not sure whether my varicose veins need treatment at all — should I still book a consultation?
That's exactly what the consultation is for. Not every varicose vein needs treating, and a duplex ultrasound scan is the only reliable way to know whether there's underlying reflux that would benefit from treatment, or whether monitoring is more appropriate. There's no obligation to proceed with treatment after your assessment.
